Inspiration: I am giving away a necklace in the month of September to a ckient of my bead store www.magpiegemstones.com
My client's are amazing people. Many have become friends and their warmth and friendship as well as their immense creativity makes me happy to wake up every morning and get to work. In trying to think of a way to repay them I thought of making a necklace out of the best labradorite I have and giving it away.
This is what manifest itself on my work bench when I went at the task.

Inspiration: I recently was able to obtain a lot of electronic components - I recued them from going to land fill.
The chain is also salvage from an old necklace,
Very eco friendly this one!
I started playing with the resistors and attaching them one by one and came up with this design.
I sold it to a co-worker within a week of it's completion - it is now on it's way overseas.

Inspiration: Some dear friends of mine gave me a gift certificate last Christmas for a Bead of the Month club held on Live Journal by a bead jewelry artist Elise Mattesen. She has a great sense of whimsy, style and color and the assortment of beads included some great finds.
I'd been looking at these beads for months trying to decide what to do with them and failing, but a recent cleanup and re-organization of my beading area brought those gift beads into close proximity of some other favorites of mine and voila! I just looked at them and the design just happened.

Inspiration: Well, first of all, there's not a sequin on this thing. But there's no materials listed as metal...and sequins are better than pony beads. Materials are anodized niobium and sterling silver jump rings and a sterling silver clasp.

Inspiration: I found this one blue ceramic bead in a basket with a bunch of brown and black and gold ceramic beads. So I plucked it out of the basket and walked around found these foiled blue glass beads and the idea was born.
