Inspiration: Some dear friends of mine gave me a gift certificate last Christmas for a Bead of the Month club held on Live Journal by a bead jewelry artist Elise Mattesen. She has a great sense of whimsy, style and color and the assortment of beads included some great finds.
I'd been looking at these beads for months trying to decide what to do with them and failing, but a recent cleanup and re-organization of my beading area brought those gift beads into close proximity of some other favorites of mine and voila! I just looked at them and the design just happened.

Inspiration: I made one necklace almost exactly like this for my friend and she sold it to a co-worker. So I remade this necklace almost the exact same way except that I added a few extra accent beads higher up on the wire. Finished with a filigree clasp.

Inspiration: Inspired by the glass reaction to the copper in the turquoise glass onto the sulphur in the ivory glass. When you combine the two glasses it makes a black outline around the added color.

Inspiration: I've had a bag of little aqua beads shaped like goldfish crackers, and thought it would be nice to combine them with triangular jadite-givre "waves". They're spaced apart with silver-lined cobalt glass seeds and various shades of blue/aqua E-beads, with two side-stations of matte-aqua cobalt cat faces and a larger, more detailed fish in an aqua/green blend of uranium glass.
The uranium glass in the givre beads and the fish centerpiece glows under ultraviolet "blacklight" conditions.

Inspiration: Wilma Flinstone! Oh my goodness, I love the huge chunky necklaces she wears. Turquoise is a beautiful stone, coming in many variations. I wanted to make something rich, yet simple and I achieved it with this piece.
